Bonnie is a Stockholm-based brand specializing in quality woolen accessories. The core focus of Bonnie is fusing British heritage with modern ideals and sustainability while maintaining a multilateral approach to fashion and lifestyle.

Sustainability and production

We care about our planet and its inhabitants and make sustainable choices whenever possible. 

Our scarves are produced in Guiseley, near Leeds, England at a mill with 150+ years of experience and one of Europes very few vertical woollen mills, meaning all processes are completed on site. The wool is delivered, dyed, blended, carded, spun, warped, woven until it is lastly finished.

The mill prioritizes sustainability. Some examples of this ambition are, but not limited too; zero waste in production, continuous investments in technology and machines that are more energy and water efficient, being energy self-sufficient with surplus sold and the use of sustainable packaging without plastic.

Wool itself is a remarkable and sustainable fabric. We value the animals well being and our wool growers respect the five animal freedoms; freedom from hunger and thirst, freedom from discomfort, freedom from pain and disease, freedom from fear and distress and freedom to express normal behaviour. The wool in our products come from mulesing free farms and is quality tested, fully traceable and environmentally scoured using eco-friendly detergents with zero bleach. The sheep are free range and pasture fed.

Wool and care

We love wool. Not only because it is far more sustainable and resource efficient than other common materials such as cotton and leather, but also due to its inherent qualities and beauty. Wool is a 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable fibre. It's naturally dirt and water resistant, hypo-allergenic, breathable, flexible and strong and is easily dyed. It's also easy to care for - we recommend dabbing stains with a damp cloth and airing our products from odour. Machine wash is possible with gentle wool program. Leave flat to dry in order to prevent any deformations by stretching.
